Madlyn Kroll
I am originally from Philadelphia, PA
but grew up in the suburbs of Washington, DC. I moved to Baltimore after
graduating from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a bachelor’s
degree in accounting. I met my husband while working for one of the large
accounting firms in Baltimore and have been happily married for more than
thirty-five years. While I knew that accounting was not my life’s work, it was
my time in my daughter’s kindergarten class that sparked my passion for
teaching. While raising two children and working I earned my master’s degree
from Towson University, and spent eighteen wonderful years as a classroom
teacher. I still marvel as children grow and learn, and love nothing more than when
a child’s interest is sparked. I became an administrator with the goal of
helping others bring out the best in our children. I am excited to be part of
Timonium Elementary, working to maintain the high standards and commitment to
excellence that make this one of the highest performing schools in the nation.
When not at school, I spend time cooking
and hiking with my husband. We are Ravens fans and enjoy cheering our hometown
team. We often visit our son in New York and our daughter and her family in
Philadelphia (life coming full circle!). The apples of my eye are my two young
grandsons. We enjoy reading, making music, cooking together and the excitement
of new discoveries.
