Mary Hughes
I am
originally from Maryland, but moved to Southeast Texas when I was in the third
grade. I eventually returned to Maryland
when I was in my early twenties. I received
my Bachelors of Science Degree in Elementary
Education from Towson University
and completed my Master’s Degree in Leadership in STEM Education from Notre
Dame of Maryland University. I have
spent my entire teaching career in the classroom teaching 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades. This year I am very excited to make the
transition to teaching Physical Education.
I am very passionate about health and physical fitness, and look forward
to providing students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to enjoy a
lifetime of healthful physical activity.
I am an
avid runner and have completed 13 marathons.
On the weekends you can usually find me with my husband and three
children participating in or watching a sporting event. We enjoy rooting for the Ravens, Orioles, and
Maryland Terrapins.
I look
forward to working with the students and families of Timonium Elementary!
