Meet the Kindergarten Teachers

This is my 13th year as a teacher and my 2nd year at Timonium. I previously taught 2nd grade before coming to Timonium and have been with BCPS for 14 years! I graduated from Towson University with a degree in Early Childhood Education and received my Master's degree from Loyola University in Educational Technology. I have two cats: Penelope Grace & Cami Mae, who I talk about A LOT. I also enjoy reading and traveling. Teaching has always been a calling for me. When I was younger, I loved school and hated being out sick. That love and passion has carried into my career and watching students grow and learn has been such a joy.

In 2009, I graduated from Towson Mrs. TaylorUniversity with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education/Special Education and began working towards my degree as a Reading Specialist right away.  I earned my Master’s Degree in 2011, as I finished my second year as a pre-kindergarten teacher.  In 2012, I began teaching kindergarten at Timonium Elementary school.  I knew early on that I wanted to become a teacher and as I am working now, I love my job!  I hope that I can inspire the love of learning onto my students as many of my teachers did for me.   When I am not working, I enjoy running half marathons, working out at the gym, reading and spending time in Ocean City with family and friends.

I was born in the Timonium area and am a true Baltimorean at heart. Crabs, crab cakes, Berger’s cookies, THB and Old Bay are my favorite staples (and of course Chick-Fil-A)!
In May 2017, I graduated from Loyola University Maryland, earning my Undergraduate Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education. In May 2022, I graduated from Towson University, earning my Master’s Degree in Special Education. When I am not teaching, I love adventures with family, exploring outdoors and traveling to new places.
Growing up I always knew that I had a passion for working with younger children. I value the connections I have made with younger generations through ministry locally in Baltimore as well as abroad in Haiti and El Salvador. My greatest accomplishment comes from the classroom where I have had the opportunity to educate and encourage students while creating long lasting relationships beyond our halls. I am excited to continue my journey with this year’s class at TES.

Aina Baker
Mrs. Baker

I have been an additional adult with BCPS since 2006, working with teachers and administrators to help students succeed academically.  I have worked with students with a wide range of abilities.  I am pleased to be working with the Kindergarten team and look forward to helping students achieve their personal best.

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my husband and four children, baking, walking my dog, watching movies, and going to the gym.
